MedCann Doctors helps visitors understand and begin Puerto Rico’s medical cannabis evaluation process. Here’s exactly what happens, and who is responsible for each part.

Prepare your information
Collect a valid government ID, any existing medical cannabis documentation, relevant medical history and your trip details. If you’re not sure what applies to you, contact support before you start.
Read the visitor guide

Create your profile in the patient portal
Select “Start my evaluation” and you’ll continue to the patient portal. Your account, application, documents and any payment are handled there — never on this site.

Evaluation by an affiliated independent clinician
An affiliated independent clinician reviews your information and evaluates you. They make their own clinical decision; no outcome is guaranteed.

Next steps
If a recommendation is appropriate, you’ll receive guidance on the next steps with Puerto Rico’s program. A recommendation is not the same as a government-issued patient card.

What this site doesn’t do

We don’t collect medical questionnaires, create accounts or take payments here. We also can’t promise eligibility, approval or processing times — those depend on clinical review and complete documentation.
