Begin with the legal framework
Law 42-2017, Article 10(d), permits licensed-dispensary delivery subject to applicable requirements. An online request alone does not establish authorization. Ley 42-2017 (opens in a new tab)
Ask the relevant authority or an authorized operator which requirements apply to your situation. Have your document questions and lodging details ready so you can get a clear explanation of the rules for that address.
Questions worth clarifying
Use these questions to organize a conversation about rules and documentation. Note who answers each question and which official source they refer to, so you can revisit the information later.
- Is my patient documentation valid for the circumstances I am asking about?
- Which current delivery permissions apply, and who can explain them?
- Is this type of lodging and this address permitted under the applicable requirements?
- How must the intended recipient’s identity and authorization be verified?
- What does the hotel allow on its property, separately from the program rules?
Separate the property question from the program question
Ask the hotel about its property rules and clarify program permissions separately. A hotel policy describes what the property allows; the authorized operator can explain the recipient checks required by the program. Keep these answers separate when reviewing your lodging arrangements.
Keep a brief record of the questions and where you obtained each answer. A clear distinction between an official rule, an operator’s explanation and a hotel policy helps you avoid mixing up very different kinds of information.
